I was born and raised in a small valley town in South Wales. Determined to get my driver’s license (hello, freedom, and independence!), I learned to drive when I was 16 years old. The legal UK driving age is 17 in the UK - so let’s keep this between us 🤫.
I took and passed my driver’s test on the first shot...did I mention I'm a #highachieving Leo 🦁
In my late 20s, I moved to Sydney, Australia - despite never having wanted to live in a big city. Being wrong is fun sometimes 😜
I worked in the development sector for 10+ years. During that time, I investigated development sites and now I use those problem-solving skills to investigate symptoms (symptom detective 🕵️♀️, at your service!).
My friends say that I’m brave because I “put myself out there” even when I don’t feel “ready.”
After losing my father before my 21st birthday, I had a newfound life perspective. I’m now less afraid of failure and willing to figure stuff out on the fly. It's no surprise that one of my fave personal development books is “Everything Is Figureoutable” by Marie Forleo.
From hormone havoc to harmony…
In my late 20’s my body confidence was in tatters as a developed adult acne after never having it as a teenager. Acne as an adult is just #rude! On top of the acne, I was tired allllll the time (aka chronic fatigue). I would wake feeling like I had had several glasses of wine the night before (which I hadn’t), thanks to brain fog! I had a serious sugar addiction and barely-there libido. I should have been #lovinglife (especially as I was living on the beach in Sydney at the time) but these hormonal symptoms were making me miserable. I wanted to hide away, not flaunt bare skin at the beach.
Back then I had no idea that my fast-paced life, including my high-stress corporate job in development, my busy social life, and my early morning fasted CrossFit sessions were all contributing to my hormonal issues (which took me years to get a diagnosis of hypothyroidism).
Fast forward to today…
I’ve healed my adult acne and have the badass body confidence I’ve always dreamed of.
I have consistent energy and mood throughout the day (no more extreme highs and lows). I no longer live under a veil of brain fog and my period arrives on time with little to no PMS.
I healed naturally without relying on hormonal birth control or other medication.
Most importantly I healed without restricting my favourite things 🍫🥂👯♀ and I’ve helped loads of other women from all over the 🌍 do the same!
I’m OBSESSED with understanding how lifestyle affects hormone health and how you can live a hormone-nourishing life without giving up all the things you love 🍕🍾💃🎉🍫.
This obsession led me to leave my corporate job in construction and retrain as a Functional Medicine Health Coach.
I now help women heal their hormonal symptoms and live a symptom-free life through the strategies I teach inside Hormone Harmony Academy.
I work with individuals and employers to ensure that women are able to engage equitably in life inside and outside of the workplace.

Because I’ve been there too, as a high-achieving, people-pleaser I didn’t know for a number of years that my fast-paced life was causing my hormonal issues. The thing is, I didn’t learn about my hormones and how my body worked until I was in my late 20s. And the person who laid it all out for me was… wait for it… a male PT! 😲
I was so embarrassed by how little I knew about my own body and how it functioned. No wonder the things I thought I should be doing (early morning cardio and intermittent fasting, anyone?) were actually working against me and my hormone health.
I didn’t know it then but…
The extra stress I put on my body was contributing to my underactive thyroid - the cause of my acne, chronic fatigue, brain fog, and complete lack of sexual desire.
If you’re feeling lost about your hormone health and frustrated by confusing symptoms, I want you to know that you’re not alone.
“What’s wrong with me?”
“Am I normal?”
I spent years asking myself these questions. Do they sound familiar?
What I know now is - this is nothing to feel embarrassed about.
After all, how are you supposed to know the answers if you’ve never been taught what to question? Any information you received in school probably wasn’t enough to fully educate and empower you.
I suffered for years with my symptoms because my blood test always came back as “normal” but I felt anything but 💩
The only thing my doctor would offer me for my acne were different types of hormonal birth control or topical creams (they never worked!).
I was frustrated, fed up, and defeated - forced to accept that these symptoms were my fate and I was powerless to do a darn thing about them.
My symptoms kept getting worse, to the point that I couldn’t get through a work day without sloping off for a 3pm “meditation” (aka nap) in the employee common area.
I felt like I had the energy and stamina of a nanna (no offense, nannas!) - and I wasn’t even 30 years old! 👵
My low point? Officially reached.
I decided that I couldn’t keep living this way and needed to take my health into my own hands.
Cue YEARS of research!
I dove way down into those internet rabbit holes - determined to find any bit of information that would help.
Desperate for results, I implemented any safe and sensible “solution” - only to later find more information that contradicted my discoveries.
I was lost and beyond overwhelmed.
Mondays became my “starting over” days when I’d put into action a new diet, a more promising supplement or a well-reviewed skin care product.
I don’t even want to know how much money I wasted on pricey “miracle” skin care, facials, and supplements (seriously, I refused to add it all up). 💸
They promised the world - and delivered nothing.
So much time and energy - years of it! - spent chasing answers and cures on my own. And I still couldn’t figure it out.
I’m grateful for my hormonal symptoms
I know this might seem weird, so hear me out okay?
Even though I hated suffering through my symptoms, I’m incredibly grateful for them now.
Those symptoms shook me up and got me to pay attention to my body, reconnect with it and become a symptom detective. 🕵️♀️
As a symptom detective, my mission was clear.
Figure out the root cause of my symptoms so that I could heal them once and for all.
Sounds simple right? Except there’s so much conflicting information out there about the “right” things to eat, how much to exercise, the best supplements to take…the Google search rabbit hole is never ending and exhausting.
My hormone healing journey showed me that there’s a distinct lack of easy-to-follow (results-proven) hormone healing advice online. There’s little to no actionable support. Am I right?

🐶 I’m a rescue dog mum with BIG love for smaller, older dogs and have had two little floofers in the last 2 years.
🤓 I’ve earned a Bachelor’s Degree in City & Regional Planning and a Master’s Degree in Regeneration Studies. #lovetolearn
🤗 I’ve always wanted my job to involve helping people - one of the many reasons I re-trained to become a Functional Medicine Health Coach.
🍫 I’m a serious chocoholic - especially dark chocolate. How serious, you ask? During lockdown, I started my own artisan sugar-free chocolate company (I still make sweet treats for my loved ones and share the recipe with all the #HHAers.
